Issue One - Crisis

$30.00

For issue number 1, our theme ‘Crisis’ is a multifaceted and intricate subject that requires careful observation and analysis. Instead of providing a comprehensive examination of the topic, we have decided to shed light on a select group of artists who have employed the crisis as a starting point to tell stories of transformation and evolution. Our focus is not only on the crisis itself, but also on the individuals, their diverse lives, religions, circumstances, and civilizations affected by it. Throughout this issue, we aim to present a glimpse into the vast and limitless creative potential of humankind, showcasing various perspectives that offer a nuanced understanding of the crisis.

This issue features stunning portfolios by international artists like Tessa Kraan, Myrto Papadopoulos, and Christine Fenzl. We have also invited Matthew Hatcher, J. Daniel Hub, Seth Herald, and Alan Chin to share their unique perspectives and work on the Ukrainian crisis. Hatcher's captivating series on otherworldliness is particularly engaging. Additionally, photographer Ryan Florig, a lifelong 35mm shooter shares an extraordinary black-and-white series capturing the assault on the United States Capitol. I have known Florig for many years and he remains one of the most talented people I have ever met. Finally, we have profiles by John Sipple, Wade Jackman, Evan Hutchings, Suraj Bhamra, Sal Rodriguez, and Karpov to complete our first issue.
